Day 3: It Was The Red Hair

Everyone has a best friend. I happen to have a super awesome one. Who is yours? How did you meet them? I would love to hear about them, so feel free to share your story, here's mine (:

Third grade was wonderful. Not only did I have a great teacher and classmates, but I also met my best friend: Haylea Cook. You see, I never really had a best friend up to this point. I was pretty much friends with everyone. But oh goodness, Haylea and I hit it off from the very start. I remember the first day, everyone was like, “Holy Cow! She has red hair!!!” (We didn’t have any redheads in our class.) That alone made her cool. After I got over the initial shock that she was going to be my best redheaded friend, I introduced myself. It went something like this: “Hi! I’m KayAnn Farnsley.” “KayAnn Farmsley? That’s a funny name!” “No, no. Farnsley… with an ‘n’.” “Ohhhhh….got it.” And so our friendship began. As soon as I got home from school that day, I told everyone that would listen, “Guess what? Guess what? There is a new girl in our class… and her name is Haylea Cook… and she has red hair… and she’s going to be my best friend… and she has red hair!!!! *Breathe*” , and start all over again. Needless to say, we’ve been best friends for the past ten and a half years.

  1. People always ask where Miles gets the red tint in his hair. Obviously it came from his Aunt Haylea! :)
