Today it's back to memories! I'm pretty proud of this one (: I can still remember how excited I was once this project was done! Hope you enjoy and get at least a decent laugh out of it.
When I was in the fifth grad, I considered the
internet a big deal. At home, I typically wasn’t even on the computer unless I
was playing a game. Well, my fifth grade teacher assigned a project that
involved researching an animal of our choice and making a poster over it to
present to the class. I liked weasels at the time, (not really sure why), so I
decided to do my project on weasels. When I got home that night, I was so
excited!! I was going to have permission to use the internet!! After dinner, I
asked if I was allowed and my parents said sure. They asked if I needed any
help, but I assured them that I didn’t. Ha! Yeah right… Having very little experience,
I got on our dial-up and typed in www.weasels.com.
And guess what?! It was an actual website but for a baseball team, not actual
weasels!! (you can check out the link to the website that now exists)My family
thought that weasels.com was the funniest thing they’d ever heard!! I ignored
them and ended up asking for help. My weasel poster was a huge success, but I
have yet to forget my weasel mistake
